The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) approved the formation of a new Safety Steering Committee and also adopted a set of Safety and Health Principles at its December, 2009 Annual Meeting.
The Safety Steering Committee is focused on improving the safety and performance of MBMA member organizations. The Committee is a sign of the committment the MBMA has to safety throughout the metal building industrty.
The Safety and Health Principles that were recently released are based on the experience, knowledge, company policies and values of member organizations. There are six core principles outlined with the aim of elevating standards across the industry and achieving an accident-free metal building systems industry. To promote these principles, MBMA has released a booklet detailing the safety and health principles.
