March 20, 2003

CLEVELAND The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) has named Birmingham Fastener, Inc., of Hanceville, Ala., a new associate member.

Birmingham Fastener manufactures and distributes a complete range of fasteners used in the construction of metal building systems.

"Joining the MBMA is a great opportunity to work toward the shared success of the entire metal building systems industry," said Brad Tinney, vice president of sales at Birmingham Fastener. "Sharing our ideas and concerns with other manufacturers in the industry will keep us all focused on future success."

MBMA Associate Members are suppliers of both raw and fabricated materials to building and roofing manufacturers. Associate members have the opportunity to influence MBMA’s direction and activities through such efforts as the Associate Member Advisory Council, which is comprised of a broad cross-section of members from various product categories. They are also represented on the MBMA board.

"Birmingham Fastener brings a wealth of specialized experience to the MBMA," said Charles M. Stockinger, MBMA general manager. "We are pleased to welcome them and look forward to working together with them."

Since 1980, Birmingham Fastener, Inc. has offered a complete range of construction fasteners to the metal building industry. Birmingham Fastener recently completed construction on their 120,000-sq. ft. distribution center located in north central Alabama. This facility will supply seven different locations that strategically located throughout the US. These distribution efforts directly complement their capability to manufacture custom orders according to each customer’s drawings and/or specifications. This includes hot and cold forming and specialty threaded products.
